Tribeca Loft

Tribeca loft spaces offer some of the most compelling raw material in New York City residential interior design: soaring ceilings, generous proportions, and an industrial character that few buildings can replicate. The challenge and design focus is adding warmth. 

Set within 2,600 square feet on Laight Street, Marie-Christine Design worked with architect Jamie Abel and builder Zoran Pejovic to reimagine the space. The approach was to let the architecture be a central focus: the volume, the light, the exposed beams - and build a layer of genuine domesticity on top of it. Rich textiles, a carefully curated collection of vintage and modern pieces, and a palette that draws warmth from the materials. The transformation of a raw loft space into a family home. The wide open floor plan was organized so each zone had a distinct footprint, but worked as a whole, in one continuous, coherent living environment.

The result feels organic and collected rather than decorated, a hallmark of our approach to luxury residential interior design.
